Our Publications
The Mystic River Historical Society is dedicated to conducting and sharing independent research into Mystic's history. MRHS supports visiting researchers and has also published several books featuring material from our collections, two of which received the CLHO Award of Merit.
MRHS publishes five issues of our newsletter, The Portersville Press, every year. Each edition of the newsletter features original researched articles on topics related to Mystic's history as well as news of our upcoming programs and events. Check out our current issue or explore past issues below.
Walking Tours & Digital Publications
Over the years the Mystic River Historical Society has collected and digitized a variety of interesting booklets, pamphlets and magazine articles featuring Mystic stories. We have also produced several self-guided tours of the Mystic area.
